Aubol closes out Legion Auxiliary presidency

By Edna Sailor

Recently, six American Legion Post 290 members attended the North Dakota Legion Conference in Minot. The New Town American Legion Auxiliary unit was also represented at the conference. Marlys Aubol joined other state dignitaries as she stepped down from her tenure as State President of the North Dakota Auxiliary. She reflected on her role and as well as highlights from the past year.

"What a great experience to be a part of the largest women’s patriotic organization," Aubol said. "Membership is very important to The American Legion Auxiliary where we serve the veterans, the Military and their families. Although we have programs of our own that are important to us, we also support The American Legion. We are truly an auxiliary. We are all a part of The American Family, which includes The American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary, and the Sons of the American Legion."
