Area residents caught in regional drug sweep

Four resident of New Town and Parshall were indicted on drug charges in Billings, Mont., along with 12 Montana residents in a regional drug operation. The operation was a follow up to the arrest of 22 people, mostly Fort Berthold residents this summer.

"There were multiple arrests made last week as part of Phase II of Operation Winter’s End which is an ongoing investigation of organized drug trafficking on and around the Ft. Berthold Reservation," said Tim Purdon, U.S. Attorney for North Dakota. "The folks who were arrested have had, or will have, their initial appearances and the cases against them will move forward through the court system."

Among the people indicted in the operation were

Lynn Marie Starr, of Parshall. Charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and distribution of methamphetamine.

Anthony Alan Starr, Parshall. Charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Blue Sky Starr of New Town. Charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and distribution of methamphetamine.

Chadwick Leo Cummings of New Town. Charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition and distribution of heroin.
