Despite some generous offers of assistance to the community from the developer of a proposed man camp, the Parshall City Council voted against a zoning change that would have allowed Missouri River Lodge to proceed with developing a 1,500 room facility on the east side of Parshall’s city limits.

School Board, teachers approve contract
The Parshall School District and Parshall Education Association completed contract talks and have approved a contract for 2013-14 school year. The changes in the contract include a $500 across the board raise for teachers’ base salary.

Nuxbaaga Celebration is this weekend
Nuxbaaga means people in the Hidatsa language, and people are what is being celebrated at the Nuxbaaga Powwow Grounds six miles south of Parshall this weekend.
