$20 million for Elbowoods Memorial Health Center With $20 million in federal appropriations approved in August, steady work continues both through tribal council action and behind the scenes toward the completion of the new Elbowoods Memorial Health Center. The new health facility will replace the aging Minnitohe Clinic which was built in the 1970s and which can no longer handle the growing volume and complexity of health care needs on Fort Berthold. The Minnitohe Clinic is located just west of the 4 Bears Bridge in McKenzie County. The new outpatient clinic will be located about one-half mile north of the Fort Berthold Community College on the east side of New Town. Right now, bids are currently being advertised for an access road leading to the new location.
