Youth wrestlers visit Velva

The Garrison Troopers youth wrestlers trekked to Velva this past weekend to compete in a Pee Wee meet.
Coach Dillon Sprenger said it was a very fast and good tournament.
“Thirty-four of our wrestlers participated in the tournament,” he said.
“A lot of our wrestlers went up against their own teammates, but also got to wrestle some that they never competed against this year,” he added, “realizing what they need to work on for this weekend’s tournaments.”
Sprenger praised the young grapplers who he said did an awesome job for their second tournament. This weekend, the team travels to Sawyer on Friday, then it’s on to Hazen Saturday.
