XC Royals have first competition
Royals take eighth in mens 5,000 meter at Jamestown invitational

The South Prairie-Max Royals cross country team had their first meet at the Jamestown “Orr”iginals Invitational at Parkhurst Recreation Area Saturday.
Teams from 27 schools participated in the invitational, which included 5,000 meter varsity races and 3,000 and 4,000 meter junior varsity races. In the mens 5,000 meters
varsity, the Royals placed eighth with 205 points. Tristan Dobson placed 38th with a time of 19:39.39. Jayden Whanger followed on his heels, placing 39th place, with a
time of 19:41.19. Erick Talbott and Trey Boedicker finished the race with times of 29:00.18 and 31:27.07, respectively. In the womens 5,000 meter dash, Maycie Talbott took 23rd
place with a time of 21:44.72 and McKenzie Hauf placed 87th with a time of 27:42.85. In the mens 4,000 meter dash, Brayden Francis took 18th place with a time of 16:15.44.
