Wrestlers close at New Salem

One more meet is in the books for the Garrison pwee wrestling squad.
ee This past weekend, the team went to New Salem for the final tournament of the season. Coach Dillon Sprenger said it’s probably a good thing since it ended up being a brutal one for plenty of the wrestlers. “We had one wrestler end up with a very loose tooth and another end up in the ER getting five stitches in his ear, after getting it ripped during one of his matches,” Sprenger said.
“Another one of our wrestlers had a freak accident happen during his match, where his opponent’s leg broke, making that wrestler feel horrible.”
Sprenger said this was definitely the hardest tournament of the year.
