Wolves claw past Troop
Wolves claw past Troop

It was a tough night on the gridiron for the Garrison-Max Troopers this past Friday. The opponent was no easy task – perennial powerhouse Watford City.
The Troopers held their own in the opening quarter, only down 7-0. But the Wolves found life, breaking it open in the second, scoring 33.
After holding the Troopers on the opening drive, the Wolves had a short field to work with. They didn’t waste time. Three plays in, and at the 8:15 mark, and Josh Rolfsrud went in untouched from 15 yards out. The PAT made it 7-zip.
Given good field position again, the Wolves wasted little time, and on the first play of the second quarter, RB Kolton Hall went in from two yards out. The PAT failed, and the Wolves were on top 13-0.
Following a Trooper three and out, the Wolves connected on a long 30-plus-yard pass to the two. Rolfsrud’s number was called again, and with the PAT, the score was 20-0.
