We are the champions

MANDAN — MANDAN – It was a dream come true for the Garrison Lady Troopers as they punched their ticket last Thursday evening, the destination being the Minot State University Dome, where the Class B Girls State Basketball Tournament will be held this coming weekend.
Following their victory over New Salem-Almont on Feb. 20, the Lady Troopers had a bigger hill to climb to make it to Minot: defeating the Central McLean Cougars and Shiloh Christian Skyhawks, two teams which are known to have a particular history with Garrison – and two games which promised to be dripping with suspense.
And the semifinal and championship games, held at Mandan High School last Tuesday and Thursday, were no different.
