TV host: ‘promote the lake’

What’s good for one is good for all.
That was the message behind a talk Monday by Jason Mitchell, a spokesperson for outdoor recreation in North Dakota. The Minot native lives in Devils Lake and hosts a TV show that showcases the abundance of hunting and fishing opportunities in the state.
As Mitchell spoke during the Garrison Chamber of Commerce’s noon meeting, he encouraged the Garrison community to work with other lake communities to draw tourists to the area. “Your competition isn’t each other,” he said as he explained that other areas of the country work hard to draw visitors.
