Troopers tame Trojan netters

The Garrison-Max Troopers are 1-1 in Super Region 5 play, following a dismantling of Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky Thursday night, 3-0. The match was in Garrison.
The ladies took the opener 25-13. That was followed by victories of 25-13 and 25-22.
Coach Jen Hirsch said the girls played very well.
“They knew what needed to be done to win and did it,” she said. “We split with them in the Center tournament but I think that was good because it gave the girls an idea of where to hit the ball and how to read their defense. I was very happy with their energy and communication.”
In another Super Region 5 tilt Sept. 20, Center-Stanton wasted little time disposing of the Troopers on G-M’s home court, 3-0.
The Troopers were on the road at Underwood, Tuesday night. Next up is at Shiloh Christian tonight (Thursday). Both are Super Region tilts.
