It was a slow start tothe game between the Garrison Troopers and the McLean County Cougars Thursday evening.
The teams were back and forth, up and down the court throughout the first quarter. By the start of the second, momentum started to pick up. The Troopers pulled ahead, gaining an 11-point lead with one minute left before halftime. They held the lead through the third quarter, but the Cougars charged back and brought the game to within three points nearing the end. Treyson Iglehart started the fourth quarter with a beautiful steal. The Troopers were still up by eight points halfway through the fourth. Braxton Iglehart grabbed the ball at half court for a steal and layup. Central McLean tried another push, but couldn’t regain the lead.
