Troopers take out Wildcats

Chalk one up in the win column for the Garrison Troopers boys basketball team. The Troopers outlasted Center-Stanton Monday night, defeating the Wildcats 51-45. It was the team’s second win of the season.
The Troopers featured a balanced scoring attack. Three players were near or above the 10-point plateau. Kyle Schlehr led the Troop with 13, Andrew Haugen added 10, and Ian MacDonald, the team’s regular scoring leader, chipped in with 9.
The Troop shot 35 percent from the field and 57 percent from the line (17-30). The Wildcats were 36 percent from the field, but only 1-8 (13 percent) from the charity stripe.
