Troopers take 11th at state

The tradition continues for the Garrison girls golf team. Another trip to state, and another positive finish.
Last week, the ladies headed to Carrington for the state Class B golf tournament, bringing home an 11th place finish. There were 117 individual golfers and 18 complete teams at the state golf meet.
The team is young. There are no seniors on the team, and all will return next season.
Reflecting on the team’s performance, Coach Liz Schieler said she thought the girls golfed well.
"We golfed better on day one than last year and although our day two total was higher than last year’s, it was still a very respectable score given the weather conditions."
While the first day, May 31, was mild, June 1 was a different story.
