Troopers strong at Harvey meet

The Garrison-Max girls golf team continues its strong performances on the course.
April 24, the team placed second at Harvey. A meet this past weekend was postponed due to inclement weather.
Telling about the Harvey meet, Coach Randy Belisle said it was a good day and the weather was perfect. Belisle said he’s optimistic about the team’s chances to qualify for another state meet.
“Caitlin Wilcox and Brittny Riemer (both seniors) are two great leaders and have been placing in the top five individual golfers each meet,” the coach said. “They haven’t graduated yet, but their quality leadership and attitude toward the game of golf is going to be missed.”
Belisle praised the two for taking the younger players under their wings, helping and encouraging the others.
