Troopers set for super regional
By STU MERRY
It’s post season time for the Garrison-Max Troopers varsity volleyball team. Super Region 5 play gets underway tonight (Thursday) when the ladies host Washburn.
The Troopers took three from the Cardinals Oct. 25, with scores of 25-16, 25-17 and 25-18.
Coach Jen Hirsch said the Troopers are peaking at the right time.
“The key to the tournaments is to learn from how we played against the other region teams earlier this year, play as each game is the first and only game we will play,” Hirsch said.
The coach said the part she loves about tournaments is that all slates are wiped clean and anything can happen.
