Troopers on a roll

WASHBURN — The Garrison basketball program traveled to Washburn for a boys and girls double-header last Tueday, with Garrison’s boys taking care of business quite easily, winning 65-33.
Despite the lopsided final score, the game’s opening period featured the Cardinals nearly keeping pace with the Troopers as the score sat 23-21 in Garrison’s favor following the first quarter.
This 21 point outburst for the Cardinal represented 64 percent of their scoring total in the contest.
Quarter two saw Garrison’s group out-score Washburn once again, this time around 18-10, helping extend the Trooper lead to a double digit margin, 41-31 entering the halftime break.
