Troopers lose heart-breaker

What a way to open a basketball season – a one-point game. Unfortunately, for the Garrison Troopers, the home team came out on the short end of a 52-51 nail biter at the hands of visiting Drake-Anamoose Monday night.
The Troopers led early, 21-9, but left the door open for the Raiders to come back to take the lead 21-20. Garrison recovered to lead 24-21 at intermission.
The Troopers rallied early in the third quarter to lead by nine, but the Raiders answered to retake the lead 32-31 at the two-minute mark.
