Troopers look to next year

The 2012-13 basketball season is in the books for most area teams, including the Garrison Lady Troopers.
Already, the team and coach are excited for next year. Over the past five years, the win total has grown from three in 2008-09, to a 10-11 record this year.
Even though the Troop didn’t advance to regionals for the second year in a row, Coach Sandra Essler remains positive.
“We started with only one returning starter and a part-timer in our seniors (Libbi Hasenwinkel and Liz Mehlhoff). Our underclassmen had minimal varsity experience but this team worked to improve throughout the season and played well together,” she said.
