Chalk up three victories for the Garrison-Max Troopers varsity volleyball team. Prior to Tuesday’s Super Region 5 tilt against New Salem-Almont in Garrison, the ladies reeled off three successive wins. Two went the distance.
Killdeer
The Lady Troopers faced a tall and aggressive Killdeer team Oct. 2. An offensively dominant team went up against the dominating Trooper defense and came up short.
“We started with two of the best sets we played all year. We got timid and started tipping a lot in the third and fourth set. Set five was big for the Troopers as they pulled it together.
“It was great to see the girls putting into action the concepts of what they were practicing. The Troopers won 25-19, 25-16, 20-25, 24-26, and 18-16.
