For the past few games, it’s been win one, lose one, win one, lose one for the Garrison Lady Troopers. After defeating Max this past week, 48-38, the Troopers fell to Parshall Monday night, 58-37.
Trooper coach Sandra Essler said the game was closer than the final score. “We had trouble with Parshall’s size, (including) 6’2” Cheyenne Packineau,” she said.
Against Max, Sarah Behles led with 14. Ellie Gehring added 10. In the JV game, Max won 55-34.
Jan. 29, the Lady Troopers fought hard against a tough Washburn Cardinals squad, only to fall 49-41. The powerhouse for Washburn was Kennedy Retterath who torched the twine for 25 points. Garrison’s Libbi Hasenwinkel had a good inside presence, racking up 18.
Garrison took the B game in a close one, 32-31. Seven Troopers tallied points, led by Maddie Nieuwenhuis’s 10.
