Troop explodes vs. Eagles Pinch me. That’s what the Garrison-Max Trooper football faithful said Friday night following an uncharacteristic 48-8 route against the New Town Eagles in New Town. The lopsided victory even surprised the Trooper coaching staff. “We knew our team was going to be big and physical and we knew we’d be able to move the ball this year but we were blown away by the way the boys made plays on Friday night,” Volk observed. What was interesting is that the wealth was spread out as a number of players got in the action, receiving touches. Six different players got acquainted with the end zone – a rarity for Troopers in past games.
Volk said it was a fun game to be a part of.
