After spending all summer working at daily practices or occasionally playing as many as six games a week, the Garrison Titans’ hard work
paid off. Despite a guaranteed in due to hosting, the Titans earned a spot at the North Dakota Class B State Tournament which was held last week. Entering the tournament, the Titans matched up against the back-to-back champion LaMoure, a team that would go on to win this year’s tournament as well, but in this particular matchup the Titans came out on top.
Day 1
Game one against LaMoure featured a typical but still amazing performance from Jack Bright on the mound as he pitched a full seven innings
of shutout baseball with 13 strikeouts. In fact, the game overall was quite the pitchers duel as both teams found their offenses stifled. With hits
tough to come by, it was a timely rally from the Titans' offense that ended up making the difference in game one as the score ended in a tight 1-0
victory for Garrison.
