Titans open with pair of wins

The Garrison-Max Titans American Legion baseball team opened the 2015 campaign on a winning note Monday night, taking two from Hettinger. The games were in Hettinger and both were counters.
GM took the opener 3-0. Ty Zacharias twirled a four-hitter to notch the victory. Ty threw 92 pitches – 51 for strikes.
In the nightcap, Gabe Lassila took the hill and the Titans held off Hettinger 7-5. Gabe fanned five, giving up six hits. He threw 79 pitches – 47 for strikes.
The score could have been lopsided. The Titans stranded 11 runners.
