Team goes 1-2 in Surrey

The season is over for the Garrison-Max Titans American Legion baseball team. It ended this past Friday with a disappointing 12-2 loss to Kidder County, the No. 1 seed in Section 5.
Kidder County was upset by Hazen earlier, setting up the game against the Titans.
The tournament kicked off in Surrey July 22. Garrison-Max opened against Bismarck, a team the Titans have played tough in spite of going 0-4 during the season. The game went to extra innings before going the Capitals’ way, 13-12. But it was the effort by the Titans that made Coach Ramsey Crawford proud.
"It was a great game that took nine innings to end," he said.
Telling about the game, Crawford said the Titans were down 9-4 going into the last inning.
"Our bats got hot and we scored eight runs, taking a 12-9 lead, but Bismarck countered scoring three in the last inning and then one more in the bottom of the ninth to end the game," he said.
