The shot of a lifetime
An extraordinary thing happened at the Bottineau County Club Friday afternoon.
Sophomore Riley Klingbeil pulled out her seven iron on the fifth hole and lobbed her shot towards the green 117 yards away.
“Well, I just kinda hit it thinking it went over the green expecting to have to put a few times, but then I couldn’t find my ball. I thought I lost it so I asked the other girls if they saw it and they said no,” Rylie Klingbeil said. “They then asked what color, and I was like pink, and one girl said, ‘well there is a pink one in the hole’. I was like you’re not joking with me right and she said, ‘no go look,’ I looked, and I couldn’t believe it. I called my coach immediately and texted all my other teammates and my mom and dad.”
