Syvertson, Talbott qualify for state at Minot meet

Two regional track and field participants competed with state-qualifying times over the weekend. At the Glenburn Invitational, held at Duane Carlson Stadium in Minot on Saturday, TJ Syvertson from the Garrison Troopers and Maycie Talbot from the South Prairie-Max Royals, both qualified in their respective races. Syvertson took third place in the 300m hurdles, but with his time of 42.18, he qualified to compete at the state level. Meanwhile, Talbott’s time of 12:11.39 in the 3200 meter – which also put her in first place – qualified her as well.
