South Prairie-Max Royals earn Third Place at State Tournament
The South Prairie-Max Royals Girls’ Basketball Team wrapped up an incredible 2024-25 season with a third-place finish at the NDHSAA Division A State Tournament, held March 6-8 in Minot.
Entering the tournament as the second seed following a dominant 26-2 season, the Royals displayed the same skill and determination that had defined their season, securing an emphatic first-round victory before falling in a nail-biting semifinal.
The team rebounded in the third-place matchup, closing out their season with a hard-fought win and solidifying their place as one of the best teams in the state.
South Prairie-Max wasted no time making a statement in their opening-round contest against seventh-seeded Turtle Mountain Community, delivering a commanding 70-45 victory.
