Sharpshooters hit target at state

In only it’s second year of existence Garrison’s Sporting Clays team turned in a pretty strong finish at the state meet last weekend in Horace, N.D., placing 15th in a field of 34 teams.
A number of Trooper shooters turned in banner days.
Kelsey Stumvoll placed second for High Gun Varsity Female, hitting 70/75 targets. There were 100 females who shot at the state tournament.
Alex Hauser was 3rd, hitting 59/75 targets in High Gun Female.
For High Gun JV Female, Alexis Betz came in 9th, hitting 59/75 targets, while Katelyn Youngs was 12th, hitting 57/75 clays.
Casyn Kolden found his range, demolishing 25 clays in a row, finishing with 65/75 for the High Gun Varsity Male category. That was good for 63rd. There were 472 males that shot at the state tournament.
