School athletics as usual with added precautions

Garrison High School coaches were given these directives last week in regards to GHS specifically.
General Guidelines
*Daily attendance will be taken at practice for contact tracing purposes.
*Athletes must have face masks with them at all times. Face coverings are recommended for coaches and athletes anytime they are not doing strenuous activity.
*Athletes will furnish their own water bottles for every practice/game. Water fountains will not be used.
*Masks are required on all bus rides since players cannot social distance.
*Athletes are asked to shower at home after practices/games.
*There will be no pregame, half time or post game entertainment.
Football
*The school district ordered football specific face shields to be worn with helmets. Helmets will be worn at all times when players leave the locker room until the end of the practice/game. The only exception would be if there was a possible head injury that needs to be addressed.
