Price earns all-state acclaim in cross-country Submitted Seventeenth in a field of 32 at the State Class B boys’ cross country meet in Jamestown - not bad for a young team of four runners and one ghost runner. Jonathan Price used a Rugby competitor as a wind block for most of the race and then overtook him at the end for a 14th place finish. Finishing in the top 20, Jonathan attained All State honors. He moved up from a 24th place finish last year. Six senior Class B runners finished ahead of Jonathan, so he could be a strong contender next year. Will Robinson completed the 5,000-meter course in a time of 20:59 for a 102nd place finish in a field of 188 finishers. Chris Dimler’s 148th-place finish was 11 places up from his last year’s finish. He completed the course in a time of 22:29. Shelby Everett, competing in his first state meet, completed the course in a time of 22:27, placing 147th. Jaimee WhiteBear completed the 4,000-meter Class B-girls’ course in a time of 18:59. The meet was this past Saturday at Hillcrest Golf Course in Jamestown. Weather conditions: 54 degrees, cloudy, with 20 - 30 mph NW winds. The cool weather was good for the runners, but the wind made parts of the course more of a challenge.
