Netters place in Washburn

The Garrison-Max Troopers varsity volleyball team brought home some hardware at this past weekend’s Washburn Invitational Tournament.
The ladies claimed consolation honors, defeating the host Cardinals 2-1 to take the prize.
In pool play, the team was 1-2, and in tournament play the Troopers turned it around, going 2-1.
Pool Play:Lost to Shiloh 25-13 and 27-26; lost to TLMM 25-16 and 25-21; defeated Tioga 25-14 and 25-17. Tournament play: Lost to Harvey 25-22 and 25-11; Defeated Standing Rock 25-18 and 25-15; Defeated Washburn 25-19, 21-25 and 15-6.
This past Thursday, the ladies were shut out by Sawyer 3-0. Scores were 25-19, 25-15 and 25-23.
