McLean County Shootout
Troopers overwhelm the Warriors, Raiders
Twelve teams gathered for the McLean County Shootout. Friday evening the games were split between GHS and Max High School.
The Troopers had an easy win against their Friday night game against the Warwick Warriors scoring double the point by the end of the game.
The game started with some news faces making their debut on the court. It was nice to see all the girls getting subbed in for some playing time.
“All thirteen girls played which will help with depth as the season goes along,” Head Coach Brad Lagge said.
Play started out a bit slow taking almost three minutes for the first point to get on the board, but after that Garrison took the lead. They dominated the first three quarters outscoring the Warriors in each.
There were a few beautiful breakaways by Gehring and Perkins in the second.
Going into half time Garrison was up 36 to Warwick’s 14.
