Learning to swing

The next generations of baseball and fast-pitch softball have been learning to swing the bat and catch a ball this summer.
Nathan Turck, Garrison’s T-Ball coach, said they have been working really hard with the kids, to instill the baseball fundamentals they will need as they grow into ball players.
“This is my fourth year as coach, and things are going great,” Turck said. “The kids are having fun, so that’s the main thing.”
He said there must be a decent amount of interest in “America’s Pastime” around Garrison because there’s been a reasonable number of kids interested in learning how to play.
