Heart breaker in extra-innings

BY TYSON SMEDSTAD
It was a long season, and the boys fought hard to make it to the championship. But after a hard lose to Mohall Lansford Sherwood, their season sadly came to an end.
Going into Regionals the Titans had a record of 18 wins and nine loses.
They had a bye in the first round, to play the winner of the Surrey vs. Makoti game.
Surrey came out on top, and was ready for the Titans challenge.
It just happened that the Titans were not ready for them.
“Bats went completely dead against Surrey in our first game,” Head Coach Luke Gehring, said “We lost 1-0.”
Jaaron Kamp pitched a two-hitter in that first game.
The boys in blue went on to win the next two games against Velva and Bottineau.
During the game against Velva, Kamp came through pounding out a grandslam.
Those wins put them in position to play in the championship game.
