Golf Course has widespread reach

Garrison Golf Club had members from 31 different North Dakota zipcodes last summer and are hoping for the same this summer.
“It is amazing the amount of member support the course has, from members both near and far,” Garrison Golf Board President Danielle Rensch said. “Having members from so many different places is just a reminder that we made an impression and they enjoyed the experience we have to offer.”
Besides hosting members from all corners of North Dakota, the course had members from four other states also: Colorado, Minnesota, California and Arizona.
Of the 288 members, 140 were from outside of Garrison. That’s almost half.
The COVID-19 pandemic has not affected memberships for the upcoming season.
Garrison Golf Club opened a few weeks ago and the memberships have started rolling in.
“We are only 10 memberships off of where we were at this time last year,” Grounds Manager Jon Roles said. “We’ve had 128 memberships come in since we opened April 18.”
The course itself is also coming together nicely.
“The course has greened up, we didn’t have much for winter kill this year, we are in the process of dialing in the irrigation system,” Roles said. “And nice days we’ve exploded, it’s been very busy, which is great.”
