VELVA — Teams from Garrison and Max-South Prairie competed at the Star City Golf Course here on Aug. 23. Garrison The Garrison Troopers placed well throughout the afternoon with five runners placing in their races, including August Majeres, who took first place in
the boys 3K run. In that particular race, Garrison’s runners found themselves all throughout the leader board highlighted by Majere's first place finish with a time of 10:45, an incredible time in the event, on his way to a win. Javier Parlier placed 12th with a time of 12:27, Gavin Ruud finished 17th with a 13:14 mark and Eli Ruud finished 34th with a time of 15:27. For the girls 5K run, Garrison's sole runner, Jetah Belzer, posted a time of 25:58.02 seconds for a 26th place finish out of 39 runners.
