Garrison Parks & Rec. kicks off season

Garrison Parks and Recreation has been busy kicking off its 2021 season. Lifeguard training wrapped up just in time for the pool opening day on June 5th, and it couldn’t have come at a better time with temps reaching triple digits just days before. As soon as the pool opened it was time for T-ball, baseball and, new this year, softball to start their practices. The number of participants is high this year as people start to feel more comfortable coming out of the shadow of COVID. The girl’s softball team for youth ages eight to thirteen have
around 24 registered participants for its inaugural season.
