G-M volleyball honors participants

G-M volleyball honors participants

The Garrison-Max Troopers volleyball teams were honored for their efforts this season during an awards banquet this past Thursday at the Bob Callies Elementary Multi-purpose Room.

The Troopers concluded the season with a 9-7-match record, and a 50-46 record in games. All varsity players, stats and student managers lettered. Jim Snustad coached the team. Jessica Turck assisted him.

Varsity awards: Captain Awards: Sami Seidler, Brooke Haugen; MVP: Brooke Haugen; Entertainer of the Year: Sommer Johnson; Most Versatile: Courtney Krzmarzick; Best Attitude: McKaila Matteson; Hardest Worker: McKenzie Matteson; 7th "Man": Sommer Johnson.

Best Passer: Kim Gienger; Best Setter: Sierra Lassila; Best Spiker: Briana Johnson; Best Server: Sami Seidler; Most Improved: Elisa Duben; Best Blocker: Briana Johnson; Gold "Digger": Kim Gienger; Most Hustle: Sierra Lassila; Most Inspirational: Brooke Haugen.

JV-C awards: Most Improved Freshman: Elizabeth Young; Most Improved Sophomore: McKaila Matteson; Most Hustle, C squad: Jess Stumvoll; Most Hustle, JV squad: Chelsea Bendickson; Most Versatile: Courtney Krzmarzick.

Best 7th Man: Casey Behles; Power Server: Jess Hummel; Ace Award: Emily Zink; Best Attitude: Brittny Riemer; Most Coachable: Caitlyn Wilcox; Rookie Hitter: Lauren Pechacek Rookie of the Year: Jess Stumvoll.

Jr. high awards: (7th grade) Most Tenacity :Myke Rendall; Most Team Spirit: Anna Larson; Outstanding Server: Macie Johnson; Best Defensive Player: Haley Hove; Best Team Player: Tashena Bird; Most Dedicated: Laura Zacharias: Most Improved: Hanna Duben.
