G-M Troopers pick up win at Parshall

The Garrison-Max Troopers volleyball team picked up its first win of the season this past Thursday night. The girls also gave first-year Head Coach Sarah Lee her first victory as coach of the team.
The Troopers did it in fine fashion, shutting out the Lady Braves 3-0. Scores were 25-20, 25-19 and 27-25.
In spite of the nice results, Lee downplayed the victory, saying too many mistakes were made.
“Like I told the girls … in practice, it’s not whether we won or lost, it is whether or not we played to our capabilities,” she said. “We did not do that for the Parshall game. And the scrapiness of the other team – coupled with our mental errors and lack of controlling our controllables like missed serves – allowed the games to be closely contested.”
