What a start.
Robyn Essler has taken up the torch, passed this spring by graduating senior Jon Price, as the anchor of the Trooper running program.
A contingent of runners from the Garrison cross-country team traveled to Jamestown this past Friday to take part in the first meet of the year. Taking the trek down I-94 were Robyn Essler and Jessica Dimitch.
Robyn placed 7th overall and was the 1st Class B finisher, coming in at 16:43, which is a new personal record. Robyn eclipsed the previous mark by six seconds. That is a new school record. The old mark (16:49) was set by Robyn last year.
Jessica turned in a very respectable time as well. She was 105th overall, and 17th in the Class B field, posting a time of 26:01.
