District 10 girls begins

It s time to begin the process to see who will be crowned the best Class B girls team in the state. That process begins today (Thursday) as district tournaments around North Dakota get underway.
For District 10 teams, that process begins in Garrison. Earning first round byes are Coach Keith Jacobson’s state-ranked Washburn Cardinals and Coach Jody Fylling’s Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky Trojans.
First game action features No. 4 seed Wilton-Wing matching up against Underwood tonight (Thursday) at 6 p.m.
At 7:30, No. 3 Max is pitted against No. 6 Garrison.
The three-day tournament continues Saturday at 6 p.m. with No. 1 Washburn facing the Wilton-Wing-Underwood winner. At 7:30, the Trojans will take the court against the Max-Garrison winner.
Six teams will vie for district champion, runner-up and third and fourth seed honors in Monday action. Games will begin at 5 p.m. The top two teams from the winning bracket and the top two (or winners) from the losing bracket will advance to the Region 5 Tournament.
The tournament at Roy Schei Gym in Garrison. will open one hour prior to the first game of the day. Game times are approximate and will start 20 minutes following the previous games.
