Clay target finishes season with a bang

The regular season for the inaugural Garrison team in the North Dakota State High School Clay Target League is in the books. The state meet was Saturday in Horace near Fargo.
Two Garrison athletes brought home hardware: Kelsey Stumvoll was third in the Class A Conference 2 for season average and first for girls JV. Katelyn Youngs was first in girls novice.
Kelsey finished the regular season third in average per round for women in Class A Conference 2, and Katelyn Youngs was 9th. Kelsey averaged 17.30, while Katelyn averaged 11.90.
At state, individuals competed within their assigned shooting skill classification based on their year-end season average.
