Central McLean pulls away late in District 8 showdown with Garrison
Basketball fans were in for a treat on February 3 as two of District 8’s top teams, the fourth-ranked Central McLean Cougars and the ninth-ranked Garrison Troopers, clashed in a high-stakes Class B matchup in Garrison.
With both squads ranked inside the state’s top 10, the rivalry carried even greater weight, and the game did not disappoint—at least through the first half.
The opening quarter showcased the even nature of these two powerhouse teams, with Garrison posting 12 points while Central McLean narrowly edged ahead with 13.
