Baseball co-op dissolved

The baseball co-op between Max and Sawyer has been dissolved.
The dissolution of the co-op was initiated by the Sawyer School District. The partnership had been in place two years.
Max Athletic Director Dave McQueen told school board members at their meeting Nov. 22 that the reason for ending the co-op was that Sawyer officials felt they had enough participants to field their own team. Sawyer officials also told McQueen that because of travel time, some students that were not participating might consider coming out for baseball if it was a “home” sport.
