Area youth enjoy golf lessons
More than 45 area youth ages 7-14 participated in golf lessons at the Garrison Golf Course.
The program headed by Tom and Claire Fitzgerald had another successful turnout.
“It was a joy to see so many area youth participate in the program,” Claire said.
Youth received six hours of instruction from Bismarck Pro Lindsay Reede and other area adult leaders. They learned the basics of putting, chipping and hitting at the driving range.
They also got another two hours going out on the course to put what they learned to use playing a round from the Junior Tee’s.
They learned the etiquette of golf and importance of being courteous and respectful to one another and the course while playing the game.
