Aggies run past Troopers

Coming into Friday nights’ opening game of the season, it was important for the Garrison-Max Troopers to keep the ball out of the hands of the Velva-Sawyer Aggies runners.
In the end, the Aggie backfield sliced through the Trooper D like a knife through butter. Numbers aren’t official, but the Trooper coaching staff estimates the Aggies rolled up more than 300 yards on the ground, winning going away, 48-0.
The Troop took the opening kick-off, but it was a quick four and out.
Two plays in and on their first possession the Aggies struck when Elijah Hackman took the hand-off and scampered 28 yards for a score. It was 6-zip.
The Troop turned the Aggies over on their next possession, driving to the V-S 18, but a toss from Nash Wimer to Noah Sloka in the corner of the end zone was just out of reach.
The Aggies wasted little time tacking on more points. On the first play from scrimmage, after taking over on downs, Dylan Lund took the rock and dashed 77 yards for the score. The conversion failed and it was 12-0 at the 11:35 mark of the second quarter.
