The high school sports season is officially underway. It began this past Friday when the Garrison Troopers cross country team hit the ground running at the Mouse River Local in Velva.
Sailboat regatta is Saturday
For the first time in over a decade, a sailboat regatta will be returning to Lake Sakakawea. The picturesque event is Saturday and will be headquartered at de Trobriand Marina, Fort Stevenson State Park. Sailboat races begin at noon.

The Garrison-Max Titans American Legion baseball team continues to try to find its identity. This past week, the team went 0-4 against the top teams in the section. The losses move the team’s record to 7-16 on the season.
