Track team poised for season
A strong nucleus returns for the Garrison-Max track team for the 2014 season. That’s in contrast to recent years when the squad featured many underclassmen and junior high members.
J.H Troopers split season finale
The Junior High Troopers were hot to start the game, shooting 4 of 5 from the field in the first quarter to take an 8-4 lead over the Underwood Comets.
Troopers come up short
It was a debut of sorts for the Garrison Lady Troopers Monday night at the Region 5 Tournament in Mandan. A Trooper girls team has advanced to regionals only two other times in the past 11 years, 2004 and 2011.
Troopers fourth at regionals
The curtain on the boys basketball season came down this past Thursday for local teams. The only teams that remain in Class B basketball are the eight who advanced to this weekend’s state tournament.
Troopers to play for third
The Garrison Troopers’ hope to play in a second consecutive regional championship game came to an end Tuesday night in Bismarck.
District champions
Following this past Saturday’s District 10 championship game – a game that saw the Garrison Troopers defeat the Wilton-Wing Miners 49-46 in overtime – fans scrambled to remember when the last time was that a Trooper team had won a district title. .
District 10 boys begins
It’s boys basketball tournament time in North Dakota. Locally, the District 10 Boys Basketball Tournament is set to tip off today (Thursday) at Garrison.
Trooper boys, girls win
The annual county battle on the hardwood between the Washburn Cardinals and Garrison Troopers was Tuesday night. The stage was the Roy Schei Gym. When the final buzzer sounded the Trooper varsity teams had taken two from their District 10 rivals.
Trooper girls continue strong
Chalk up two more wins for the Garrison Lady Troopers. The wins came this past Friday and Saturday.
