Titans start season well
Garrison’s American Legion baseball team, the Titans, started their season off with quite a show against the Mandan A’ this past week.
Age categories set for activities hosted by the Garrison Parks and Recreation board have caused upset with a number of parents, the board reported at a special meeting on May 31
Clearing the hurdles
Three student athletes from the region placed at the North Dakota State Track & Field Meet this past weekend in Bismarck. Karli Klein and TJ Syvertson, both from Garrison, and Summer Krebsbach from South Prairie-Max all placed in their respective events: Klein took third place in the 100 meter hurdles and fourth in the 300 meter hurdles, Syvertson placed fifth in the 300 meter hurdles and Krebsbach took sixth place in the 100 meter dash.
Bison trump Troopers for spot in Regions
Garrison would open the game with a first-inning run by Kaitlyn Zook, batted in by Alexis Kastner.
Syvertson, Talbott qualify for state at Minot meet
Two regional track and field participants competed with state-qualifying times over the weekend.
South Prairie-Max took sixth place and Garrison took tenth place in women's varsity, while the Royals took eighth and Garrison tenth in men's varsity at the NWC Meet in Nedrose last Thursday.
Thompson places first, second at Nationals
"It was crazy. I didn't know what to think. I was speechless and in shock," Presley Thompson said of her recent trip to Sandy, Utah, to compete at the National NASP Archery Tournament. "It was a great experience."
Spring sports thwarted by storms
